Pros:

• VERY spacious back seat and boot space.

• Better value for money than Volkswagen Passat.

• Das Volkswagen Group quality!

Cons:

• Seems to have lost the "Superb" charm/identity.

• Its priced in a competitive zone, where spacious crossover SUVs make more sense.

• These days the Octavia seems to win more hearts than the Superb.

There was a point during the 2000s, when the Skoda Superb was actually Skoda's flagship model. A model they could be proud of. Today it seems as if the Skoda Superb is living in the shadows of the smaller Octavia, big Kodiaq and electric Enyaq iV.

Yes, I said it. For some reason the Octavia wins more hearts than the Superb does, likely because of price reason! I even witnessed someone sell his aged Opel Insignia for a new Octavia.

The 2024 Skoda Superb is of big surprise. My first impression was, it looked like a mix of various Skoda models. The front has a more Scala-like grill. Interior looks more Enyaq-ish. Rear design had me thinking of 2010s Toyota Avensis. There appears to be a Superb identity crisis. But its still good Volkswagen Group quality inside!

The interior presentation was also evolutionary to the previous generation Skoda Superb. Everything logically laid out, and no-nonsense. I was surprised to have an electric seating adjustment with seating memory - FOR BOTH front seats!

Now to the part where Skoda always shines: PRACTICALITY!

Being a Skoda, practicality is no doubt one of the best in its segment and arguably across the automotive industry! For this Superb, I found the back seat and boot space VERY spacious!

In marketing terms, the Skoda Superb gives the Volkswagen Group plentiful advantages against BMW and Mercedes!
