Pros:
VERY ideal for families. Children will love it!
Safer than ever! For occupants and the environment! 0% emission!
Advantageous for Volvo and Geely since there aren't many electric SUVs with 7 seats!
Cons:
TOO simple, it m ay be boring for those who expect more "status for money" for its price tag.
Doesn't boast the same Swedish, and Volvo pride, compared to the XC90.
Volvo no longer has a combustion engine SUV to compete against the BMW X5 or Audi Q7.
Tesla, Stellantis, and the German giants must observe this!
The Volvo EX90 comes with great excitement, a long wait for a successor of the legendary Volvo XC90. I remember seeing many XC90s being used for school runs and shopping. However they didn't live for too long on the roads.
The EX90 is exciting because its electric, with 7 seats, upholding Volvo's values! But beware, Volvo no longer has anything to compete against the BMW X5, Audi Q7, or Mercedes GLE.
Volvo has a lengthy reputation for road safety, and its proven! The Volvo EX90 has great solutions for family purposes. The third row seat is best suited for children, but adults can fit there if the middle row is generous enough to move forward slightly. The interior has moved towards simplicity, BIG time! There is now a massive table to control most of the car, just like in a Tesla or Mercedes.
However its not very rosy. It does arrive at a price. I reviewed one that costed around 120k Euros. Whilst its true there aren't many electric 7-seater SUVs, there are many different cars to choose from at that price range, whether electric or combustion. It can depend on you needs and priorities.
For me, the Volvo EX90 makes sense if:
You need to transport family, or a lot of people.
You buy it as a company / professional vehicle.
